3 Screening and Applicant Information

When STC VeriShield supports an authorized screening request, information may be collected from the applicant, client, public sources, verification sources, laboratories, motor-vehicle agencies, courts, registries, filing offices, service providers, and other authorized sources.

The categories involved depend on the selected service and may include identity information, address history, employment and education information, licensing information, driving history, criminal and civil public records, bankruptcy information, judgment and lien information, registry results, testing status, and related documentation.

Applicant and screening information should be collected, transmitted, accessed, retained, and disposed of through approved secure procedures.

STC VeriShield does not use applicant screening information for unrelated advertising.

6 Cookies and Similar Technologies

The Site may use essential, functional, performance, analytics, security, and preference technologies. The categories and providers depend on the current WordPress, hosting, form, analytics, portal, and embedded-content configuration.

Review the Cookie Policy for additional information.

7 Retention and Disposal

Information is retained for the period reasonably necessary to fulfill the purpose for which it was collected, administer services, maintain records, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, satisfy legal requirements, and protect the Site and business.

Do not send sensitive applicant information through ordinary email unless STC VeriShield has specifically approved that method and protection level.

9 Choices and Privacy Rights

Depending on the location, relationship, and applicable law, a person may have rights concerning access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, objection, or certain processing choices.

Requests may be submitted through the Contact & Privacy Rights page.

A privacy request is different from a dispute concerning information in a screening report. The Contact & Privacy Rights page explains how to route each type of request.
