STC VeriShield accessibility practices

This Statement describes the organization’s operational accessibility target and how to request help.

1 Our Commitment

STC VeriShield is committed to providing a website that can be used by people with diverse abilities, technologies, and methods of interaction.

Accessibility is treated as an ongoing operational process involving design, development, content, testing, vendor review, and user feedback.

2 Accessibility Target

STC VeriShield uses the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.2, Level AA, as an operational target for new and updated public web content.

Use of a target does not represent that every page, document, embedded tool, or third-party service has been independently certified.

Accessibility conformance must be evaluated across complete pages and processes, including responsive layouts, forms, error messages, documents, and third-party components.

3 Accessibility Practices

  • Provide meaningful page titles, headings, labels, and link text.
  • Support keyboard navigation and visible focus indicators.
  • Maintain readable text sizing, spacing, and color contrast.
  • Provide text alternatives for meaningful images.
  • Avoid using color as the only way to communicate information.
  • Use clear form instructions and understandable error messages.
  • Support responsive layouts and browser zoom.
  • Review downloadable documents and embedded tools when they are added or changed.

4 Compatibility

The Site is designed for current versions of major browsers, common desktop and mobile operating systems, keyboard interaction, zoom, and commonly used assistive technologies.

Older browsers, customized devices, disabled scripts, unsupported extensions, or third-party content may affect the experience.

5 Third-Party Content

Some content or functions may be provided through a portal, form provider, map, video, document viewer, agency site, laboratory, public record source, or other external service.

STC VeriShield works to select and configure accessible options where reasonably possible but does not control every external system.

6 Accessibility Feedback and Assistance

A person who encounters a barrier may request assistance, an alternate format, or a reasonable communication method.

Provide the page address, the feature or information involved, the assistive technology or browser used when relevant, and a preferred way to respond.

7 Response Process

STC VeriShield will review reported barriers, attempt to provide the requested information or assistance, and evaluate reasonable corrective action.

Complex issues involving third-party systems, documents, or development work may require additional time.

8 Ongoing Assessment

Accessibility review may include automated testing, keyboard testing, visual review, content review, responsive testing, assistive-technology checks, and user feedback.

This Statement will be updated as practices, technology, and the Site change.
